V, I said we were lucky to hold out. But you need luck as well as skill in every single game - As proven against Liverpool, bad luck cost us 3 points.

I think you're over critical of our defense, I agree without Balbuena we are a little more vulnerable as Ogbonna is prone to a lot of mistakes.

However with Cresswell and Fredericks (who I think has done excellent teh last two games) have got better, Diop is going to be an excellent defender as well.

We need improvement of course, but I don't think we're as bad as you may think.

I agree with all of that, except I think we were probably a bit lucky to hold out. In years previous our defence wasn't very good, and frankly it still isn't.

V son, they got a fucking rollocking at half time, and came out in attack mode.

We did extremely well to hold onto a draw, in years previous we would have lost games like that.

Palace aren't a bad side at all, and a 1-1 draw is a very good result.

I know it can be edgy to slag the team off, however the counter balance to that as mentioned we'd have crumbled previously.

Same old pathetic excuses. I really wonder what supporters think is the benefit of peddling the received wisdom and supporting the status quo. What great achievements has that sort of thinking brought us to?

When will the club and the fan-base wake up?

Alex if the "youth" were good enough pretty sure Pellegrini would give them a chance as has been shown throughout this season or would you jut like to see some kids playing for the sake of it regardless of how good hey are?

We can see the dead wood let’s hope he and the board do get rid early as possible

This summers business will be key. Address the central midfield as a priority, a proper quality striker and better full backs or cover for that we full backs

3 high quality signings and some dead wood moved on. Quality not quantity now

Next season Pellegrini will be the one to judge him properly as he needs to deliver a squad that can get to the Europey league ideally but one where we see obvious improvements in consistency etc

If lanzini was not injured I don't think we would have signed wilshire

That’s a fair point Sum, however he has to show them that he’s to be trusted with the dough.
I think his signings have been good to date and he deseves the opportunity.
The Wilshire signing being the only real mistake and we’ll never know who made that decision, Anderson Balbuena Diop all good signings, Fredericks and Nasri jury out but definitely promising.

I will say one thing, RJ.

A lot of my faith in Pellegrini, is based on the board doing the right thing, by continuing to back him for the next few windows.

Whether that be keeping hold of certain players or investing in new ones.

It isn't going to be easy.

Let’s be honest , it ain’t been great in the cold light of day, sprinkles of brilliance but in general very meh.
It is a work in progress though so deserves more time but I’m not convinced.

The Fa Cup was all we had a chance in and the way we went out was pitiful. We've played some better football and at times I was stupid enough to think we might push on for 6th or 7th but we've been poor against teams we should be beating, Brighton, Burnley, Bournmouth, Watford.

Alex V,

Well, well, well! You've shocked me here.

You know more than anyone, how much over the top teams have to pay for anyone in the January shop window.

I personally would of liked to have seen us spend in January, but also understand that we shouldn't have the piss taken out of us at the same time.

As i said before, this coming summer is going to be the acid test. Im expecting a lot of movement, this summer.

And im talking about movement in the coming and going of players, not the mass bowel movements of the drama queens of WHO

I think that is the major problem especially as Snodgrass and noble aren’t know for pace...

Add in Antonio and Chica who also struggle with 70+ mins it’s a big problem for el pel.

I just looking forward to seeing lanzini, nasri and the general back players who can put their foot on the ball and keep possession will make a huge difference especially how we play now!!

The link up of lanzini and Anderson is mouth watering

Re: ⚽ Crystal Palace v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 1-1
Personally I don't think too much changed tactically from the first half to the second. Palace certainly didn't change their shape. I think a number of our players got very leggy as the game progressed, and I have to tie it into the aged nature of the squad. Along with having very little to play for.

It's just another sign that it needs an overhaul, and exposes imo how unambitious MP and the club were in January. We're sleepwalking towards Summer, so play some more youth and let's get something out of it at least!

I'm happy where we are and how we've performed compared to last season, yes the inconsistency is frustrating, especially when it's apparent from one half to the next, let alone game by game, however we've been on the right side of some excellent performances and mainly given it a go against the top sides.

Just need to get a season with few injuries to key players.

With regards to doubts, i trust MP.

But, i don't trust the board - hopefully, they prove me wrong.
